What this tool does
Re-encode a picture at selected quality to trade file size against visible detail. Some already optimized files may not become smaller.
How to use it
- Select one source file (image/png,image/jpeg,image/webp,image/gif,image/svg+xml,image/bmp).
- Set output format to one of: jpeg, webp.
- Set jpeg / webp quality (0.1–1) (initial value: 0.8).
- Set maximum width (0 = original) (initial value: 0).
- Choose Process, inspect the result, then use the download control. A reported error means no successful output was produced.
