Common questions
How are birthdays and elapsed days calculated?
Completed years are reduced by one if the birthday has not occurred by the as-of date. Elapsed days use UTC midnight dates, so local daylight-saving transitions do not change the total. A February 29 birthday reaches the next completed year on March 1 in a non-leap year under this formula.
